Carmen Falconer

Carmen accepted her first piano student in 1990 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and has been teaching ever since. She continued teaching throughout university while completing her Bachelor of Music at the University of Alberta. After receiving the Johann Strauss Scholarship, Carmen had the opportunity to continue her musical studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

Returning to Canada, Carmen continued her journey west, eventually settling in North Vancouver in 1997. After ten years of teaching on the North Shore, she and her family made the move to Vancouver Island. Since 2007, Carmen has been sharing her love of music with students in Nanaimo through private piano lessons and Music Explorers.
